How to answer - long answer

Extended response questions are designed for students to provide a written response with an optionally specified length.

The question is presented on the top of the page with the number of points associated with the question mentioned to the right.

Below the question, separated by a divider, is the writing space for your response.

Activating the writing space by via click/typing actions brings up the toolbar with formatting options, and the ability to insert images, tables, links, code snippets and equations.

As you start writing , the writing space starts expanding to fit the content. You can scroll up and down to view the question and everything that you have written so far.

In case there is a word count, it will be shown at the bottom of the page, under the writing space. If you are going above the word count, the indicator will change to show you the number of words you are going above the limit.

There is no requirement to save anything explicitly. All your written work is automatically saved as long as you are connected to the internet.
