You can find the word count for your assignment in the top-right, next to the Submit button. It updates every time you stop typing and is displayed according to the section of Cadmus you're working in (Notes, Work or References). If you highlight a section of text, word count shows you the number of words selected.
Due to the word count inconsistencies across differing platforms, we would recommend students work directly in Cadmus instead of pasting from another editor.
In addition to this, Cadmus automatically generates a footer upon every submission, which highlights the student's Cadmus word count. This ensures that teachers see the same word count as students do while marking, regardless of their chosen marking tool.
