Working offline

While we strongly recommend working online, we understand that we understand that you need to work at different times, in different places - sometimes without an internet connection. The only times you strictly need an internet connection are when you first open Cadmus and when you submit.

To work offline

  1. Open Cadmus while you still have an internet connection.
  2. If Cadmus is open in your browser, and your internet connection drops, you'll see the Working Offline notification.

While you’re offline, Cadmus will try reconnecting in the background and the save status next to the Review to Submit button will show saving. All your changes will be saved locally on your browser until you reconnect to the internet. Once you're back online, all your changes will be backed up to the cloud, and 'saving' will change to 'saved'.

Note: If you’re planning to work offline for a long period, please don’t close your browser, refresh your window, or clear your internet cache/history until you’re back online. Please avoid using incognito or private browsing to ensure you don’t face any saving issues when you’re back online.
