Create Groups
Marking Groups can be created by either organising by students or by questions.
When setting up marking groups by students, you can either add students manually or divide them equally across markers. You’ll also have the option to exclude students with specific tags from these groups. Once details are confirmed, selecting Create Group will finalize the assignments for each marking group. The number of grouped students, ungrouped students and the number of students excluded by tags will be displayed at the bottom.
When creating marking groups by questions, a specific set of questions can be assigned to different markers. Different questions can be assigned to unique markers by adding a rule. After confirming the rules, clicking Create Group will assign a set of questions to particular markers.
Import Groups from File
Marking Groups can also be created by importing a .csv spreadsheet or a .zip file. Click on Import .csv or .zip file and select the groups to be imported.
NOTE: The uploaded CSV or ZIP file should have the same number of students as the number in the roster in the LMS. Also, ensure that the names of the students in the uploaded file match the names in the roster to avoid any mismatch. Any extra or mismatched students will be omitted and any student in the uploaded file missing from the roster in LMS will remain ungrouped.
Tutors would have the option to view the list of additional students or mismatched students from uploaded files to make corrections.
Sync Canvas Sections
Click on Sync Canvas Sections in the Marking Groups tab to carry over the roster from your LMS to Cadmus. Please ensure that while creating or importing groups, the number of students and the number of students is exactly the same as the roster to avoid any mismatch.
