Learn about the group and student level insights that Cadmus Group Assessments offers
The Insights tab provides information about individual contributions within group assessments, as well as engagement trends across students and tasks, and highlights areas where students may need support or intervention. The features help teachers understand which students are contributing significantly within a group, who are falling behind, and who are dissatisfied, allowing for early intervention.
Insights Tab Features
In this article, we will talk about the features that the Insights tab offers:
Tasks Summary
Sentiment Check
Comments and Replies
Score Differences
Activity Report
There is a filter bar located on the left side to select the groups whose information you wish to view. There are ‘Select all’ and ‘Clear all’ options in the filter bar.
Tasks Summary
The Tasks Summary section displays the number of completed, on-track, and overdue tasks as a bar chart for the groups selected. This would help you understand which groups are on track and which are lagging.
Sentiment Check
The Sentiment Check presents a sentiment check matrix with groups on the Y-axis and individual students on the X-axis.
Multiple colored plots show periodic (weekly) responses by individual students. Green indicates On track. Orange indicates Minor hurdles. Red indicates serious issues. Grey indicates a skipped sentiment check.
This would help you understand individual perceptions of students on the group’s progress.
Comments and Replies
The Comments and Replies section shows the number of unresolved, resolved, and deleted comments for group reports. This would help you understand how groups are engaging and collaborating on the group reports.
Score Differences
The Score Differences section is viewable in two components-
Peer versus Self assessment, which shows the difference between the scores a student received from peers versus their self-assessment. The information is plotted in a normal bell curve distribution.
The Y-axis shows the percentage by which their evaluation is off from the peer evaluation. The X-axis indicates the number of students in that range.
Group versus Individual, which shows the difference in scores of individuals within a group versus the score of that particular group.
The Y-axis shows percentages of how far off a student's score is in relation to their group score. The X-axis indicates the number of students in that range.
A higher difference indicates greater dissonance between individual students' self-perceptions and their peers' perceptions of their contributions or individual scores compared to the group score.
Activity Report
The Activity Report provides information regarding word count and paste ratios across a customizable date range. This would help understand the proportion of work that is pasted versus typed.
NOTE: Individual reports can be downloaded by clicking on the Download data button at the top right corner of each section.
