Managing Exam Resubmissions

Allow Resubmissions

Teachers can control whether students are allowed to submit multiple times during an exam.

When the Allow re-submissions setting is enabled, students can submit as many times as they like while:

• The exam remains live.
• They still have writing time remaining.

Students can continue updating and resubmitting their work until the exam auto-submits or their writing time expires.

When Allow re-submissions is disabled:

• Students can submit only once.
• After submitting, their assessment status changes to Submitted.
• They cannot re-enter or submit again unless a teacher grants an additional submission attempt.

Granting an Additional Submission Attempt

For students who have exhausted their submission attempts, teachers can grant an additional submission opportunity from the Progress tab. To do this:

1. Open the assessment's Progress tab.
2. Locate the student in the class list.
3. Click the ⋯ (three dots) menu.
4. Select Allow Resubmission.

This changes the student's status from Submitted to In Progress, allowing them to re-enter the exam and submit again.
