How to Answer - Short Answer and Fill in the Blanks

Short answer

Short answer questions enable you to respond to a question with a short written answer.

Question structure

Short answer choice question consists of:

1. The question asked.
2. A text input to fill in.
3. Points allocated to the question.

The character count remaining for this question can be viewed below the text box.

Word limits

Responses to short answer questions are limited to 100 words.

Character limits

Each input has a character limit, which will be displayed below the textbox. If the character limit is exceeded, the excess character count will be displayed in red.

Fill in the Blanks

Fill-in-the-blank questions ask you to enter missing words or phrases to complete a passage of text.

Question structure

The fill in the blanks question will display:

1. A passage of text with words missing.
2. One or more text inputs to fill in, which correspond with the missing words.
3. Points allocated to the question.
