Completing Cadmus Exams with Schoolyear

Learn how to prepare for and complete a Cadmus exam using Schoolyear.

What is Schoolyear?

Schoolyear is a secure exam workspace that enables you to complete your Cadmus exam in a controlled environment. When your instructor requires Schoolyear for an exam, you'll launch your exam through the Schoolyear application instead of your web browser.

 

Note: Schoolyear must be installed on your computer before you can complete a Schoolyear-enabled Cadmus exam.

Before your exam

Your instructor may ask you to complete a Device Check to confirm that your computer is ready to run Schoolyear.

Starting your exam

When you launch your Cadmus exam, it will launch inside the Schoolyear application.

Launch the exam from Cadmus
  1. Log in to your Learning Management System (LMS) and open your Cadmus exam.
  2. Review the exam information.
  3. Click Launch Exam.

If Schoolyear isn't already installed on your computer, you'll be prompted to download and install it before continuing.

Download and install Schoolyear

The first time you launch a Schoolyear-enabled exam:

You will be asked to download and install the Schoolyear application.

Continue in Schoolyear

Once Schoolyear opens, continue your exam by following the on-screen instructions.

For guidance on:

  • Entering your Exam Code
  • Completing a Device Check
  • Launching the secure workspace
  • Starting your exam

Completing your exam

Complete your exam as normal in Cadmus. When you've finished:

  1. Submit your exam in Cadmus.
  2. Wait until you receive confirmation that your submission has been successful.
  3. Exit Schoolyear.
